I was born into a family who loved Jesus and taught me to do the same from a very young age. Through their faith and witness, I was introduced to Jesus and presented with the gospel story of his love and grace. I entrusted my life to Jesus in elementary school and from then on began to pursue a life of discipleship.
Through my time spent learning and serving in our close-knit, neighborhood church, Jesus began to form in me an abiding love for him and for his people. This love soon expanded into a desire to pursue ministry within the Church, leading me to study theology at Wheaton College. While studying abroad in the summer of my sophomore year, I was gripped afresh with the beauty and mystery of Jesus’ church—his body and bride. It is partly the experience of this beauty that led my wife Charlotte and I to find a home at Resurrection.
Charlotte and I live in Aurora with our daughter, Talia. We have many hobbies, some of which include camping, visiting the Art Institute in Chicago, playing music together, and anything that involves hosting or cooking for friends. I am currently studying for my M.Div from Fuller Seminary. I serve on staff in Resurrection’s youth ministry and with her daughter church, City of Light, as their worship director.
We are excited to continue deepening our love for Jesus and his church through our life and ministry at Resurrection and City of Light. Our prayer is that God would use us to serve and bless his people, just as they have served and blessed us.
