Creating Artwork for the Marriage Sermon Series
Part of imitating Christ is acknowledging the fact that God created us as creative beings. When God created Adam and Eve, He gifted them with imagination and an appreciation for beauty. At Church of the Resurrection we seek to use our artistic and creative gifts to help lead others into the presence and worship of our God. In the middle of September, the worship arts team gathered a group of artists to begin creating art on the theme of imitating God and becoming like Jesus in marriage and celibacy.

Return the the Father’s House – Resist Temptation
On Sunday, Father Stewart preached on the temptation of Jesus at the end of his 40-day fast in the wilderness (Luke 4:1–13). He gave this message in the context of our Lenten theme: Returning to the Father’s House. A Brotherhood on a Journey—Together.
Resurrection is a family that lives out our life in Christ TOGETHER. We are a family made up of brothers and sisters, journeying together with Jesus Christ. What a profound joy and blessing it is to not be alone, but to live together with such a family as this! Every year on the first Friday and Saturday of October, all the brothers of our church family gather together for a special two-day annual retreat at Techny Towers in Northbrook, IL. It is a spectacular time of worship, teaching, and recreation that carries many of us men through the coming year.

21 Day Study in Proverbs
"you can follow the daily readings, pray through them, discuss them with your family, friends, small groups, prayer cells, and at morning and evening prayer."
Beginning on September 13th, we will be embarking on a 4 Sunday, 21 day journey as a church through the book of Proverbs. Dr. Stephen Gauthier has compiled a 21 day devotional booklet that is a topical organization of passages from Proverbs so that they coincide with the topics of the sermon series.
