Each year Holy Week is a profound time of communal and individual reflection and celebration. It is in the dying to ourselves and rising to new life in Christ that we experience in Holy Week that we learn to walk with the Lord throughout the rest of the year. This was only my second Good Friday at Resurrection, so I can honestly say: I always approach the praying-at-the-cross time with a lot of anticipation—and a lot more trepidation. I get worried about the logistics. What if I can’t find an open spot to pray? I get concerned about the public side of it.
