The sluggard sounds a lot like me. I’m usually the first to say, “Can’t this wait until tomorrow?” My mom even gave my then fiancé this premarital advice, “If you ask Lindsey to do something, she’ll get it done—it just might take her a while.” I’ve always been a procrastinator. Still, even at work I find I’m most productive as a deadline approaches. My garden even sounds like the field of the sluggard—overgrown, covered in weeds, broken down. My neighbors are waiting for my ant-skills to kick in, and I’m beginning to become even more uncomfortable with this passage.
