An Inside Look at the Lessons and Carols Children's Choir
Last year was the first annual Lessons and Carols service at Church of the Resurrection, and even though I was in the choir, I think that one of my favorite moments was at the dress rehearsal a few days prior to the event, when the children's choir joined us for the first time. After months of preparation, we in the "big choir" got to hear for the first time the voices of the children of the church as they partnered with us to prepare some of the traditional carols and anthems we would be singing in the service. Their presence brought a sense of vitality and energy to the music that can only be present when children are.

Fresh Veggies, Fresh Creation: A Garden Co-op Story
One of my favorite parts about summer has always been fresh veggies. Even as a kid I loved to eat the beans and peas fresh, often just standing in the garden and shelling the peas where I stood. Which is why I was delighted to interview Adam Beyer about the two co-op gardens that he, Jeannie and Nate Iseman, and several others from Church of the Resurrection have started.One of my favorite parts about summer has always been fresh veggies. Drinking from the Social Justice Fire Hose
If you’re like me, you sometimes find the sheer number of tasks you must accomplish and responsibilities you dare not ignore overwhelming. Between work, friends, family, hobbies, grocery shopping, and budgeting, there seems to be little time (or energy) left to worry about things like global hunger, evil, modern-day slavery, justice. These are big concepts, big issues.
