Also be on the alert for CORE, an orientation to Church of the Resurrection that can lead to membership and/or confirmation. It is offered 2-3 times every year. Learn more about CORE here. Click this link to find out more about this year's schedule. If you need pastoral care, first you may want to read our pastoral care brochure to get a handle on whom you should call. If you’re still stuck, contact Lisa Traylor (Click here to e-mail Lisa or call 630-653-3888, ext. 208), who can point you in the right direction. | top | FAQ's |

| Which door do I enter? The door closest to the auditorium is Door #2 at the top of the circle drive. The drive begins at the northeast corner of Crescent Boulevard and Ellyn Avenue and heads diagonally up the hill. Click here to see our map. Feel free to drop off people in the circle drive—and this is ideal for small children, the elderly, or others who don’t find it easy to climb steps—but for fire-safety reasons, no parking is available in the circle drive. For those who use handicapped parking (see above), you can enter Door #3 and take the elevator up one level to the auditorium. If you park in the large lot behind the high school, the most direct route to the auditorium is the back way: cross Ellyn Avenue and climb the steps immediately in front of you; enter the school at Door #13 and take the steps to the next floor; turn left, and the auditorium is down the hallway to your right. | top | |

| What is your service like? When you enter the auditorium, you’ll be handed a small booklet with everything you need to know in order to participate in the worship. The basic pattern of our worship service is shared by millions of Christians all over the world. The service has two main sections. In the first, we read from the Bible, listen to a sermon, and pray. In the second part of the service, we receive Communion—that is, we eat a little bread and wine, the food from Jesus’ final meal on earth, as a way to celebrate that Jesus died and rose again for us. Regardless of your church background, if you’re baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and are committed to following him, we’d love for you to share Communion with us. If you’re still finding your way back to God, during Communion there are several ways you can respond to God: reflect on what you’ve heard; pray; or ask someone to pray for you (simply walk over to one of the prayer ministers, who stand on the sides of the auditorium). To get a feel for the service, you can read this web page or print this eight-page booklet that includes explanations. | top | |

| What do you offer for kids? For children under 2: our nursery is in the hallway immediately to the east of the auditorium. Children may be checked in starting 15 minutes before the service and picked up immediately following the service. For preschoolers (ages 2-5): we offer Noah’s Ark Preschool during the worship service. The Preschool is located downstairs; please follow the signs, or a greeter would be happy to walk with you. Children may be checked into their classrooms starting 15 minutes before the service. Halfway through the service, at the greeting time called “The Peace,” please pick up your children so they can be with you for Communion. For 1st-5th graders: Our Kingdom Kids program offers Bible teaching and worship for school-age children, held during the worship service. Kingdom Kids is located downstairs; please follow the signs, or a greeter would be happy to walk with you. Children may be checked into their classrooms starting 15 minutes before the service. Halfway through the service, at the greeting time called “The Peace,” please pick up your children in the cafeteria, so they can be with you for Communion. Or, if you prefer, your children are always welcome to stay with you during the service. | top | |
| How can I meet people? The easiest way is to come to RezCafé, a time of coffee and conversation between the services, from 10:10 to 10:40. If you want to meet our staff and leaders (plus, enjoy some bagels and juice), attend First Steps, our monthly mixer for guests and newcomers. First Steps is usually held on the first Sunday of the month, between the two services. You’ll see signs to its location, or ask anyone at the Welcome Center. | top |
