Father Joe Murphy will lead the half day retreat with guidance for reorienting ourselves before the Lord, laying before Him our priorities, plans, goals, desires, and listening for His direction. The morning will be spent in worship together, in quiet solitude, and with one or more brothers in Christ so as to better hear from the Lord and to serve one another.

There will be no food and no cost for this retreat. Still come even if you decide at the last minute. This may be the most important thing you do to keep perspective and stay on or redirect your course. For more information, contact Keith Davis at 630-260-9272.

Ministry Center

Would you like make better use of your digital camera?  Come to the Ministry Center, Saturday morning, May 3 for a short, hands-on course.  Peter Vagt has many years’ experience with photography, including serving as an official photographer for the Morton Arboretum.  Peter will teach us 1) how to get our pictures from camera to computer, 2) how to use more of the controls on our camera, and 3) how to take better
pictures (composition)! 

Held at Glenbard West High School, in the Choir Room.

The festivities begin on the front lawn of the Ministry Center immediately after the 10:45 service. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and a change of clothes. We will have various games for children, families, and adults. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish that serves 10 to share.

E - L - Fruit or Vegetables

K - Q - Cold Pastas, Salads, Etc.

R - Z – Dessert

Chad Klopfenstein will be speaking on "The Art of Self-Hatred". Everyone is welcome to attend this Worship and Healing Prayer Service at the Ministry Center's Large Chapel. John Fawcett, our beloved worship leader, passed away this Tuesday. He died at home with his family surrounding him, as he prayed would happen. We are all saddened by the loss, but know that he is praising the Lord in heaven. We have some arrangements and other information to pass along to you:

John Fawcett, our beloved worship leader, passed away this Tuesday. He died at home with his family surrounding him, as he prayed would happen. We are all saddened by the loss, but know that he is praising the Lord in heaven. We have some arrangements and other information to pass along to you:

Childcare is provided, nursery through 5th grade and will be dismissed at the Peace.
After the funeral service, those who desire to do so can follow the funeral procession to the Interment at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.

Nathan and Kelly Goodwin are preparing to walk out on the sending road and this will be their last Sunday at Church of the Resurrection. They will briefly share about their vision to minister in the Middle East right after the 10:45 service in room 319 down the hall directly behind the auditorium. Please come to hear about their ministry and send them off in prayer.
