Fr. Kevin Miller will be speaking on "Finding the Full Freedom of Forgiveness". Everyone is welcome to attend this Worship and Healing Prayer Service at the Ministry Center's Large Chapel. You are invited to Muffins & Mugs, a ministry for moms at all ages and stages, on Thursday, April 24th. We will hear from Brenna Jones as she shares on how we can help form our children's sexual character from early childhood through the teen years. Brenna and Stan Jones authored a helpful series of books for parents and children, How and When to Tell Your Kids About Sex. We will also enjoy Morning Prayer and worship, fellowship, and sweets with coffee. This is a great place to connect with other moms and enjoy a morning in the peace-filled presence of Christ himself.

Childcare is provided for children 0-5 years old. School-age children can find a quiet place to do school work near the mom's meeting room. There is a suggested donation of $5/mom and $2/child ($10 max per family). Please RSVP to Mindy Popp at 630-510-3139 so that we can provide appropriately for childcare. We hope you can make it—it's going to be a great morning.

Marcy Hintz and Joe DeZwaan will be leading a "Spring Refresher" event for all those who are currently leading small groups or have a desire to lead in the future. We want to provide some helpful training about small group ministry, promote unity among the leaders, and welcome potential leaders for this summer and fall. The topic for the teaching will be Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the Foundations for Ministering to One Another. Don’t worry; the teaching will only be about a half hour long. The rest of the time will be taken up with fellowship, Eucharist, and prayer. This is a great opportunity to step forward into the leadership God may be calling you to! Father Joe Murphy will lead the half day retreat with guidance for reorienting ourselves before the Lord, laying before Him our priorities, plans, goals, desires, and listening for His direction. The morning will be spent in worship together, in quiet solitude, and with one or more brothers in Christ so as to better hear from the Lord and to serve one another.

There will be no food and no cost for this retreat. Still come even if you decide at the last minute. This may be the most important thing you do to keep perspective and stay on or redirect your course. For more information, contact Keith Davis at 630-260-9272.

Would you like make better use of your digital camera?  Come to the Ministry Center, Saturday morning, May 3 for a short, hands-on course.  Peter Vagt has many years’ experience with photography, including serving as an official photographer for the Morton Arboretum.  Peter will teach us 1) how to get our pictures from camera to computer, 2) how to use more of the controls on our camera, and 3) how to take better
pictures (composition)!

The festivities begin on the front lawn of the Ministry Center immediately after the 10:45 service. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and a change of clothes. We will have various games for children, families, and adults. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish that serves 10 to share.
