"Being Complete" by Joe DeZwaan

61:23 minutes (28.1 MB)

The followers of Christ in Colossae faced a similar question that Christians face today in a postmodern culture: What narrative will shape reality for us? Paul argues in the book of Colossians that the gospel of Christ should play this role in the believer’s life. Christ’s triumph over sin and death, his dwelling with each believer, and his gift of the church provide hope and stability for Christians in the midst of competing cultural voices. Join us as we explore the book of Colossians and its significance for believers today.

The class will be led by Rez members Joe DeZwaan and Aaron Damiani, both of whom have a masters degree in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College.

Is There a Biblical Way to Invest? by Jerry Webb

65:09 minutes (29.82 MB)

How we manage our money is one of the most challenging areas of
discipleship. Sometimes Jesus talks about the need to give all our
possessions away (as he does with the rich, young ruler), and other times he
blesses wealthy people without even hinting their need to give up their
wealth (as with the Roman centurian, the wealthy women who followed him).
How much to give away and how to use the money that remains--these are big
questions every Christian must answer. We'll be addressing some of the
issues money presents us in this class.

"Theology of the Body for Men - Part I" by Rev. Stewart Ruch

75:34 minutes (34.59 MB)

God is the creator of all that we know, including our bodies. Men, not surprisingly, have unique bodies that shape their desires and actions in unique ways. Combining John Paul II's thoughts on the theology of the body, key biblical passages, and his own life experiences, Stewart addressed the particular temptations and opportunities that confront men. These talks were given at the 2007 RezMen Annual Retreat in early November.
